Zev Abraham

Zev is Director of Research at Capital Wealth Advisors. Zev manages a number of equity strategies and is also the creator of the “Quant Alpha” family of strategies. Zev has also acted as President and Lead Investor of an entrepreneurial project in the recreation industry.

Zev began his career in investment research more than 25 years ago. Prior to joining Capital Wealth Advisors, Zev was an Analyst and Portfolio Manager for commodity-related equities at Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy from 2008-2012. From 2006-2007, Zev was an Equity and Commodity Analyst at Sheffield Asset Management and from 2004-2006 he was the Head of Energy and Commodity Analytics and Portfolio Manager at the Dreyfus Corporation. Prior to this, Zev worked at Catequil Asset Management from 2001-2004 and at Lawhill Capital Management Corporation from 1998-2001.

Zev and CWA CIO, Lewis Johnson, began their now twenty year-long collaboration after meeting at an investment conference in early 2003. They formalized their work partnership on the equity team at Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy beginning in 2008. Zev eventually joined Lewis at Capital Wealth Advisors in 2015 as Director of Research for the asset management business.

Zev lives in Naples, Florida with his wife, Karen. He enjoys pickleball along with the other relaxing activities the area has to offer, especially after spending the past decade and a half traveling the country as an exhausted hockey dad to his two sons.
